What age do you take from?

Classes are available from 18 months old.

Am I too old to take up dancing, or come back to it after a break?

Never! There’s no age limit here — whether you or your child is a complete beginner or returning after time away, there’s a place for them or you.

When can we start?

Whenever you’re ready!

Fees are simply adjusted based on when you join and your chosen payment method.

Do you have a waiting list?

Some classes do have limited spaces. Get in touch and we can let you know what’s available for your child’s age and interest.

Does my child need to wear uniform for a trial lesson?

No uniform is needed for a trial — when you book, you’ll be advised on the most suitable thing for your child to wear.

My child is shy or anxious — can I come into class with them?

Wherever possible, children are encouraged to come into class independently – little ones often settle faster and feel more confident without a parent in the room. If your child does need a little extra reassurance and needs you to come in for the first fews weeks until they are comfortable then that is absolutely fine.

Is there somewhere for parents to wait during classes?

Yes – there are a small number of seats outside the studio. There’s also a coffee shop just down the road if you’d like to head out during a longer session.

It’s an INSET day — can an older sibling come along to the studio?

Unfortunately the studio isn’t able to accommodate extra children during classes, but older siblings are welcome to wait in the waiting area with you.

  • My child has a medical need – such as autism, ADHD or hearing loss. Can they join your classes?
  • If my child has done RAD ballet elsewhere, what IDTA grade will they be placed in?
  • Does my child need uniform straight away?
  • How can we pay?
  • Do classes run during school holidays?
  • Where can I find the block dates?
  • When will I get to see my child perform?
  • Do parents sit in and watch regular classes?
My child has a medical need – such as autism, ADHD or hearing loss. Can they join your classes?

Absolutely. There are children with a wide range of needs across the school, and your child is very welcome. Just let the team know about your child’s requirements ahead of their first class so teaching can be adapted to suit them from the start.

If my child has done RAD ballet elsewhere, what IDTA grade will they be placed in?

Your child will be assessed during their trial class and placed in the grade that best matches their current level – no guesswork, just the right fit.

Does my child need uniform straight away?

All classes are uniformed, and the correct uniform becomes important when your child begins working towards grades. That said, there’s no pressure to have everything in place before you start — you’re welcome to join in casual wear initially. Worth knowing though: most children love wearing the same as their classmates and tend to ask for it sooner than you’d expect!

How can we pay?
There are two options depending on your location:

Radstock – pay per block or set up a monthly Direct Debit
West Harptree – monthly payments
Do classes run during school holidays?

Classes do not run during school holidays.

Dates can vary slightly from the standard school calendar, so always check your invoice and timetable to confirm exact dates.

Where can I find the block dates?

Block dates can be found here

When will I get to see my child perform?

A large show is held every two years, involving the whole school from reception age upwards. Watching weeks are at each teacher’s discretion and typically fall in the final lesson of each block — a lovely chance to see how far your child has come.

Do parents sit in and watch regular classes?

Day-to-day classes are for the children – keeping the studio space clear helps them focus and get the most out of every session. Watching weeks and the biennial show are your opportunities to see them shine.
